Prince Edward County is an island in Lake Ontario. It is halfway between Ottawa and Toronto and just south of Belleville. It is famous for three Sandbanks Beaches located at Sandbanks Provincial Park which are considered to be the best beaches in Canada. It boasts of 40 plus wineries and is considered to be Canada’s fastest wineries in the region.

The County is one municipality, but with nine regions, each have their own distinct character and much to explore. The vast farmland, bay shore views and teeny towns of Ameliasburgh and Sophiasburg contrast the bustle of the Main Streets of Picton, Bloomfield and Wellington. Hillier, Waupoos and the South Shore are havens for agricultural and craft beverage experiences. And Sandbanks? Only the worlds largest baymouth barrier dune formation.
